It is sad to hear that one of the nicest 928s in the Bay Area is gone. But I'm glad that one of the nicest 928 drivers in the Bay Area escaped unharmed!

You ask about bringing it back onto the road. Do you think the car is repairable? Did the airbags go off?

I know a guy here in Newark, who has done multiple 928s, and also does high end restaurations of Mercedes SL from the 60ies. The work I've seen is beyond excellent, yet, he does not seem to be expensive at all.

He quoted $3.5k for a complete paint strip and repaint with German paint - that is low for the Bay Area! He says that if he does Porsches he lets nobody else in his shop touch them. He's done some great work on my car, too.

His name is Andrew, owner of
A&S Enterprise
7777 Enterprise Drive
Newark, CA 94560
510-505-9519

If fixing the car is not a feasable option, you have one of the most beautiful interiors, that you should be able to sell for good $$$. Or use it in your next 928. How about this one:

Whatever you decide to do, I hope we - the 928 community - won't lose you!
