Subject: Followup question (flood damage?)

Hi again,

I did a CarFax check on this GTS. It shows it as a 1994 model, so that appears to be clear enough. However, the CarFax check also threw up the following (everything else was okay):

Problem Titles Checked: Results:
Salvage/Junk Checked - Salvage/Junk Title Found
Rebuilt/Reconstructed Checked - No Rebuilt/Reconstructed Title Found
Flood Damage Checked - Flood Damage Title Found
Damage Disclosure Checked - No Damage Disclosure Found
Manufacturer Buyback (LEMON) Checked - No Manufacturer Buyback Found
Exceeds Mechanical Limits (EML) Checked - No EML Found
Not Actual Mileage (NAM) Checked - No NAM Found

Everything else checked out okay.

Now the question is: should I steer clear of this GTS or could it be okay? It had been registered in Texas, had apparently been flood damaged and couldn't be registered in Texas again. Given that I know this information, I could potentially get a decent deal on this car, but is it going to be more trouble than it's worth? What problems could this car have? Or could it be perfectly fine? Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Rod
