Thanks for the thoughts Joey. This just got more interesting. I've not had this problem since my first posting. Then just this week, it happened again. While nervously trying to decide how to deal with a car that won't turn off in the parking lot at my office, I turned off the rear defroster which was on, has it was raining, and bang! off goes the car. I started her up and tried this again. Defroster on, key out, car continues to run. Defroster button off, car shuts down. I couldn't find any reference in the cars manual saying that this is what is supposed to happen. Has anyone else experienced this and is it the Porsche engineers way of letting you warm up and defrost a car with doors locked and key out? Maybe I'm just a new owner finding out about features?!
