Subject: Re: Anyone running 245/50ZR16's on stock rims??
In reply to: P 's message, "Anyone running 245/50ZR16's on stock rims??" on 14:26:03 02/01/02 Fri

I ran 245 50 16 on my 84 928, but I had 8" phonedials on the back and 7" 205 55 16 on the front. Your car will handle 245 50s on the back and may even fit the front, but it will feel like a truck with them on the front. If you put 245 50s on the back and 225 50 on the front, it will appear that the back rims are smaller than the front because of the back tires being taller. Also, with the 928, the rear suspension is not supposed to pivot properly with wide tires. The rear suspension on a 928 actually helps to steer around corners as the car sways... I would say stick with the 225 50 16.
