>I'm running 225/50s on the front and 245/45s on the back. Stock 16" wheels with no problems at all. They look and handle great. When I bought tires, i approached an old college friend who is president of a local chain of tire stores and discovered he provides tires to the local Porsche dealer. He did some research on Porsche specs and sold me Conti Sport Contacts (Continental, made in Germany). He says later model 928's came with this configuration recommended by Porsche. The down side is you can't rotate which cuts the tire life. Don't have proof or confirmation that any of that is fact beyond his experience (25 years in the tire business) and my trust of his ability. Anyway, they run fine on the stock wheels. He also advised strongly that running the 245's in any size on the front was a horrible idea and would cause handling problems.
