Subject: Reunions...

Maturity is supposed to come with age. Patience, acceptance, tollerance, and temperance are also supposed to broaden. How sad it is to see that this is not true.

I went to my 25th class reunion and found that some of those that were termed "nerds" or "weirdos" or "outcasts" were still treated as such.

At the 30th, those people's feelings had been so hurt, they didn't return. I don't blame them. I was essentially one of them, I just lucked out enough to be tollerated by a few "above the term" and was treated fairly. Or at least I "THOUGHT" I was. Unfortunately, I've since found out differently. And the "team" wonders why attendance is so low???????????????????????????????????????????????????

And now, the "wonderful team" that puts these things together has decided that we will not have a 35th, but a 40th. And on top of that, we will combine with yet another year or two (or will it be three or four or five or???? before the final date is set????) of classes before us and/or behind us, or whatever this "team" so chooses to do. And in wishing against hope yet again this time (the last time they claimed I couldn't help because I lived out of state, now they claim I can't help because I don't live IN St. Louis) that I could help, I find myself not welcome. To help, that is.

The REAL truth of the matter is, I was never a popular person in school, so why should I be allowed to be of help now? But that's ok, you wonderful team, for I have MANY, MANY more friends now than I did then, so I'll have my reunions with THEM, not YOU FEW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For you see, I have UNCONDITIONAL friends now, and I don't need your CONDITIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GO GROW UP!!!
