Yes, I would think that the more power, the larger the radius. A small wrist droid.. I think, fully charged would operate on a radius of... say.. 200 ft? If attached to a larger scanner and more power, probably alot more.. maybe a few miles or more, depending on the source. I'll leave the exact distance by itself up to you, as long as it is not a ridiculous amount... like a mile. Also, if there were people in buildings.. and you wanted to know if they were in threatening positions, it would take more energy to 'sense' through the walls for lifeforms, and so.. the radius would decrease..
