D3 doesn't have emotions, like the second droid in the new lost in space. He does have devotion for Julina, but she re-programmed him to take care of Melvin. Basically, if Melvin hacked into D3's system, and programmed him to kill Juli, well, he wouldn't have any problems with that. I would, but D3 wouldn't.
