the forgiveness thing is required no matter how bad you are hurt you must forgive. Forgive does not mean you let them off with no consequences. if someone is physically/emotionally hurting you constantly there is no reason to stay in contact with that person.. loving your enemies can be done away from them.. it starts with praying that God will reach them. only God can change people and if there is a hard point with a person only God can remove it. the verses i put on here are only meant for Christians. if you are a Christian you will love those that persecute you but you dont have to hang with them at all. in Romans 2:5-6 it has the punishment for those who are stubborn and unrepentant. Tuff love is sometimes letting someone go. but if it is a situation that you are at all at fault (even a little bit) you need to make the first step.
