"I think we lost them." Shinto says as they catch their breath on an overpass. Looking down near the river beneath them, he notices a man sitting on a bench who begins to play his saxaphone.
"My feet hurt!" Mirino complains.
"Too much to dance?" He takes her hand and she blushes. The whale-romantic sound pours out of the instrument and into the air. "Here like this." Shinto takes her hand and holds it up, then places his other on her hip. She can't help but turn even more red. "There's no need to be nervous, we're supposed to be like this." He passes off his charming smile, and returns it with her own. Underneath the moonlight they look like a swaying feather in the calm wind.
"What's Shayla to you?" Mirino asks with a serious look. He grins and spins her into his arms.
"She's nothing compared to you." Close like they are she nestles her head on his shoulder and closes her eyes. Shinto looks up to the moon and to her. "You are my moon, you may not shine as bright as the sun, but you are from the same light." She lifts herself to look at him. "And with that light, you shine enough for others to see you. For them to want you, but none of them as much as I." She places her eyes on the ground because she can't look him in the eyes. They stop moving amongst the pale bright pavement. Shinto lifts her chin and says in an ever so soothed voice, "I love you." Mirino's eyes release tears of joy as they draw closer.
"Be my love only." *HiSsssssss* The yellow eyes of a cat violently stare into her eyes, waking her up. Mirino springs up frightened to see her cat, Juliet. The cat was firmly cushioned next to her pillow, asleep. "Was that you?" She picks up the feline with a mild anger in her face. Mirino raises Juliet to her eyes, the cat being awake now. "You just ruined a perfectly good dream." She falls back into her feather-made pillow and hugs her cat. "If I go back to sleep I wonder if it'll continue." She sighs and closes her eyes.
