Mariah however prooved that she still has got that touch that made her Pop's Golden Girl. She sang live her power ballads Through the Rain, My saving Grace, Can't Take That Away, Without You. My All and Hero. They were all sang live. And, Mariah made exceptional performances of Through the Rain and My Saving Grace hitting notes that you enjoy hearing from none other than Ms Regine Velasquez. This should dismiss all speculations that she can no longer hit those notes. She really got her pipes working. Her performace of Hero was however lackluster because she decided to sing it the way she did in A Tribute To Heroes. And there is no denying that there are lip synched songs... mostly where she has to dance. She lipsynched Fantasy. But she did heartbreaker live and hit those fabled notes right infront of 30 thousand awestruck audience, celebrities and regular people alike. Notable are the presence of a significant amount of foreign audience. Expats and Bakasyonistas alike who were luck enough to be in the Philippines right in time for Mariah's concert. So it's safe to say that she's not so laos as some of you would conclude. Pop Quiz, hours before the show, SOP made a mini tribute to the Great DIva with Performances by Jano, Ogie Jaya and Regine in b2b2b. Jano and Ogie san Open Arms and Without You. Jaya San cant Take that Away and Regine capped it with a spectacular rendition of Through the Rain... I think Mariah and Regine Fans should altogether be happy. Regine admires Mariah and did very wonderful renditions of Her song. Mariah Fans should be happy that Regine gave a wonderful rendition of Mariah's song, Regine Fans should be happy that Mariah inspires Regine along with her other idols, to continue perfecting herself and give us more great music.
