>I'm so sorry about that "loser" word. I hope you could

>post today. My intention is just to tell you that Kyla
>is a no power belter, and nothing more. But Kyla's
>really good. Sabi nga ni regine sa kanya, bihira ang
>singer na may magandang boses at marunong kumanta at

Kyla is no power belter? I thought so too, till i watched her first major concert at the Araneta.

The only singer i can imagine singing a medley of And i am telling you, To love you more and Come on in out of the rain (yes, the same song Sheryn revived) with so much power is Regine. Guess what, Kyla did it with flair proving to all she could belt too. Watch the telecast of the concert and see how she injected soul into that otherwise showcase of sheer vocal acrobatics.

Kyla is good? Oh but she's that too and more. She has proven that she doesnt need to shout to impress her audience. Something i doubt sheryn could do. Did you notice how she tries hard to be pa-sweet in her rendition of Now that i have you? Terrible.

And can sheryn do Alicia keys as well as Kyla does? I dont think so.

Please do not even group Kyla with all those losers that you mentioned. she's not even in the same league as nina. If i may do the grouping myself, i'd like to group sheryn with the other losers such as dessa and ima castro. Both "exteremely" gifted with vocal power. But where are they now? Give Sheryn two years and she'll end up doing front acts for hasbeens like Patti Austin and Angela Bofill.

>Frenchie vs. Sheryn. Definitely I'm okay when I said
>that Sheryn is about a note higher than Frenchie.
>Frenchie's voice is amazingly powerful over her range
>that's why she impresses me a lot. But the fact
>remains that Sheryn's vocal range is higher than that
>of Frenchie. If only they have the same vocal range, I
>should be rooting for Frenchie right now and Sheryn
>will just be second on my list.

Sheryn's vocal range is higher than Frenchie's? Get real. Can sheryn do the whistle? And just how powerful is Sheryn's headtone? Yes i've seen that mtb episode and clearly frenchie had a wider and higher vocal range than sheryn.

>Here's one interesting question: can Frenchie hit the
>note in the ending part of Among Gabayan as clear, as
>high, and as long like Sheryn did? I bet only Regine
>can do it as, or probably better than, Sheryn had it.

I bet she can. Give her that song and she can do it much much better than sheryn. Can sheryn do raindrops will fall better than frenchie? I doubt.

>And Eric Santos has definitely the strongest male pop
>singing voice today. But it's illogical to say that
>since tinalo nya si Sheryn, at si Frenchie ay nag
>champion din, e talo na ni Frenchie si Sheryn. I would
>be more at peace kung nagkasabay si Sheryn at Frenchie
>sa Star in a Million, and Frenchie wins over Sheryn,
>than Eric winning over Sheryn in that one fateful if
>not controversial night.

Eric has the srtongest male pop singing voice today? Are you kidding me? Havent you seen him faltered many times on ASAP? Many times did he make piyok on the same show. Have you heard Nyoy Volante perform live? Do you think Eric can do the high notes Nasan ka na as well as Nyoy does?

>Very-well written. This is what I meant when I said I
>will learn a lot of things here. But I think Jaya is
>again a no power belter. She has a very short range,
>unlike Lani. Lani's voice is as deep as Jaya's in the
>same lower vocal range, but is more able than Jaya's
>to reach what Regine's voice can in the upper range.
>This is what differentiate's Lani's voice from Regine,
>so that when both sings in the highest range, Lani's
>voice is still crisp and buong-buo (is that the right
>word for it?) while Regine's becomes very
>high-pitched. Thus the apparent difference in vocal
>power.

Jaya is no power belter? Tsk tsk Obviously you havent seen much of Jaya's live performances. Jaya's voice is deep but have you seen her sing MAriah's theme on back to back to back? I thought hers was the best version i heard. Her voice soared and reached the songs highest note without faltering.

And i have been reading some posts by Sheryn fans in some forums how good her version is of thru the fire. You should listen to Jaya's. Boy even Regine fans were awed when Jaya sang the song during their independent women concert.

Lani's belting voice is buong buo? Why dont you let her sing What kind of fool? You think she could do that using her natural voice? She'd probably whistle her way out to reach the highest note of Regine. But that wouldnt be buong buo. If you notice, when Lani sang a piece of sky, the last note was done the same way as the orig. But when Regine did her version, she sang the song few notes higher using her natural voice! So naturally her voice would be higher pitched. You think Lani could do the same thing using her natural voice. she cant even sing you're still my man right.

By all means support sheryn. But not at the expense of others who are far more gifted than her.

Like KYLA.
