My girlfriend bought this car back in the summer, and we're just trying to find out any history about it. It's a '70 fastback with a ragtop, and in Marina blue, seriously lowered and running polished riverias. It has loads of Speedwell guages and an unknown steering wheel (we assume is VW) that has a Wolfsburg crest horn push.

The motor is a type 3 1776cc, with dual weber DCNFs on tall manifolds (no engine lid!) but is fairly quiet due to the unique airbox that houses a performance filter and has the VW logo embossed (?) onto it. The exhuast is a massive Turbo Thomas phat boy, but was only added by the last owner.

The car won several awards including best motor, runner up in some concours competition - don't have the trophys to hand so i don't know what year this was or where (think one may have been from Karmann Konnection at Stonor park?)
