I am considering parting with my 1965 split camper. In favour of a squareback.
We (wife and two kids) crazy on camping but the bus is getting a bit of a squeeze even with an awning.
I have two options.....keep the split and buy a frame tent or sell the split and buy a caravan and pull it with a squareback!
Does anybody know how well a squareback would tow. The caravan would be a new one approx 1300Kg in weight. Would the std 1600cc be powerful enough?? Would i be able to stop?? What would be the best model/year car to buy??
Hope sombody can help.
Cheers.
