It does cruise pretty well so could be a 1500 one , but its still 6 volt so it must have a 6v flywheel and starter and as far as I know they never made a 1500 bug with 6v stuff ( the 67 1500 was 6v but had 12v style flywheel/starter ). Anyway I think I'll just measure the tubes and compare them to the late box I have and go from there. Also cheers for the tips on the change over!
