Hi John,
My GGG Grandfather was called John, he had many children, but not James 1885 and Ernest 1887. he was a keelman between Hull and wakefield. alot of the children were born where the boat stopped. you mention they were born in stanely.Should that be stanley. Sometimes if a son died by the name of james they would call the next son James. Alot of the Rowbottom family were boat people.
were did you get the information?
If I can help in any way.
Marie Clark nee Rowbottom
