Subject: John ROWBOTHAM & Dorothy WALKER of Thorne, Yorkshire c:1790/ Canadian ROWBOTHAMs too

I am stumped at my John. He was a mariner so I think he travelled a lot, probably following the coast from/to elsewhere. His son, Joseph, ended up in Beverly and then moved onto Ontario, Canada. I have scads of information on these Rowbothams, with a lot of help from some distant relatives still there.

My Great great grandfather was called John he was a keelman on the Canals between Hull and Wakefield. John was born in Stainforth in 1842 and married Henrietta in1866. The family made there living on the barges into 1930. One of Johns son Herbert appears in 1901 census on a boat.
