BIC: Giga lightly grinned at Shadow. She also wanted to enjoy the peace in the pre-hunt moment. The snow fell beautifully, and carpeted the grass and piles of frozen, dead leaves, as well as the caribou.

Giga looked behind her at the other wolves, and motioned for them to begin to fall into place: Arco and Freeze were to go down the left flank, and when the signal was given, to scare the caribou; and Artic was to charge them at the signal.

Giga knew her plan: she and Shadow would intercept the fleeing caribou and then the entire pack would form a circle around a more sparse collection of the great animals, and, togeter, the pack would zero-in on one...make the kill.

Giga looked breifly at the herd, then back at the other members. Finally, with a sigh, the alpha eyed the snow-covered trees.
