"For I am not ashamed of (afraid to trust in) the gospel: the death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, for it is the power(ability) of God unto our salvation ( set at safety, delivered, rescued, healed, made sound) to every one who believes(relies on, trusts in, and adheres to) it!

Paul wrote his letters in about the year 50 or so, but the "official" gospels were not written until many years later. Which non-official one wrote Paul about? Was it destroyed, and if so, why? And if not, then what is its current name?
..... By the way, the item you quoted may not be at all as Paul wrote it, but it could have been edited (many times?) much later.
