Apologies. I've just caught up with information elsewhere in this forum and learn that the 9600 Graphics Accelerator extension is all that is needed to run the Apple-supplied version of the card (single connector on the back, and an "A" after the model number). So it seems that removing this extension might solve problems for those using the other version of the card, which comes with its own software. But the 9600 Graphics Accelerator extension is essential for the Apple version of the card. Sorry if I caused any confusion.
