Subject: TT 128M8A on PPC 7500

I have a PPC 7500 running OS8.6 with a TT 128M8A graphics card in PCI slot 1. The System Profiler cannot find it and the 9600 Graphics Accelerator that I put in the system folder to drive it appears to have no effect.
The card appears to work however I only know this because I can see a picture through it!
The only thing I can see that might be causing a problem is that the 9600 extension shows as OS9 (I'm running 8.6).
Shouldn't the System Profiler be able to see the card anyway?
Does anybody have any ideas?
