Doesn't the Muslim faith follow a different calendar (something like the *lunar* calendar) than the rest of us? I am not sure of this but believe I read something of it earlier (getting old and senile).

Yes Bob the Islamic Calender is based on the Lunar Calender. Thus you will find that the Commencement / End of Ramadan and the Celebration of the Eids as well as most other Muslim Religious Events are based on the Lunar Calender / Phases of the Moon
