Subject: Something that bugs me about the death counts Author: Ziggy [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 21:48:59 04/06/02 Sat Whenever I see a breakdown of the death tolls from Israel/Palestine, it simply breaks it down by who they were, not who killed them. Now, it may seem trivial, but this has bothered me for a while. From the people making bombs that pre-maturely go off (many) to the almost buried fact that 11 Palestinians that were just in a PA jail for suspected conspiracy with the Israelis were gunned down in cold blood by Palestinian militants, the stats make no distinction. Just like every Iraqi killed since our sanctions started are blamed on US Sanctions. Now supposedly, Iraq can't sell enough oil to help feed and give medical aid to it's citizens, BUT>>>>> Iraq has called for at least a 6-month halt on selling oil as reprisal against Israel recent incursions. Propaganda is propaganda, pure and simple. What gets me is that many of these Muslims won't even listen to the other side of the story. I try to get some of them to 'think outside the box' but they are afraid of being considered a bad Muslim I believe. This lot (not all Muslims) are so brainwashed that they don't even realize it. What a shame to go through life like a robotic puppet.
