Torrent watches the stallion curiously. She stands, hidden in some thick wattles. Trembling with excitement and fear, she emerges. Golden wattles entwine in her chocolate mane. She stands, poised, staring deep into his blue eyes. His scent comes to her in the dancing wind. The wind lifts her forelock from her eyes, teasing it. Her chocolate tail, held high like a banner, ripples. She watches him, unmoving. Wondering if he will approach.
