This board has a habit of eating half of my posts. If that post is fiction, then that jumps to 100%. I do not know why, but it is annoying. Perhaps my disclaimer is a bit much and the censors yank it. Ah, well, such is ...

Feyr would have been in town for a few years now, hailing from Kyrdannia (however you spell it) to study at the University before going to the big city. When the Siege was approaching, many of the students fled like rats from a sinking ship, while others stayed, perhaps thinking they were going to be immune to the carnage.

During the Siege, one of the instructors, Master Fleetstag preached and lectured with fire and vehemence, drawing the support of a number of the students. For various reasons, they joined with him on various forays against the invaders, at first with scavenged weapons and armor, but, after their original successes, loot became more prevalent. Feyr was one of those who followed Fleetstag and was grievously wounded.

After the siege, both armies withdrew, taking with them what they could (provisions and supplies) and leaving what they did not need (gear and bodies). This left Bridalveil with a harsh and grisly winter, likely kept alive by elfin intervention. Feyr was one who was not thought to make it, but did.

The experience, having seeing most of his mates and rolemodels die, shaved a bit off his idealism. He is still an idealist, but one resigned to living in an imperfect world. He has always been a big lad, one any team would be keen to have on their side, of decent intellegence, but lacking a bit in wisdom, even with his brush with death. While a bit clueless, he is good-hearted and giving. He tries hard to help out where he can, but often takes it a little too far.

He comes from a wealthy family, which does not understand him staying there. He writes them once a week (the last two were eaten) and is not estranged from them, even if they disagree on minor points. Feyr has lived in, bled for, and struggled to rebuild Bridalveil, seeing a number of those he cared about die in the process. He considers himself a member of the community, if not a citizen, and usually is eager to prove his worth.

His size, nature, wealth, and actions during and after the Siege made him one of the Knights of St. Calumus. He has taken their teachings close to heart and tries to follow them closely. He is only human, though.

Earlier (pre-siege) encounters would have likely seen him as a self-interested college-boy. During and after saw him mature to a giving and caring memeber of the community, whether saving cats from trees or old ladies from bands of orcs.
