The HCR are nice in theory, but they're a complicated mess with some CPU intensive and potential crash producing routines. Not to mention the zillion custom NPCs that make loading the toolset as fun as watching water boil. A lot of the rules wouldn't really add to our experience anyway.
What I have working so far:
Can only rest once every 8 hours
Must have food to rest
Must have blankets to rest
Blindness (instead of Zzzz, hey you're not sleeping, you're resting)
Dying--bleed system with % chance of stabalizing
On death, all items stripped from your body and placed on a death corpse
Send you to a Death Plane
Take 20 removed from traps-finding and lock-picking
Helper Wands (DM's wand, Player Helper, Autofollow, and Effects wand)
I have yet to figure out how to make it so you only heal one hp per level on rest. Perhaps someone can look into that more while I'm on vaction.
Other than that I think that's the basic idea of what we want.
If there are any scripts that you have seen that you want in the basic package, send me a link or the script itself and I'll see if I can't put it in.
