Ok, after our talk last night, I’ve come up with some ideas on how to proceed.

1) Starting out. I think at this point, I’ll just let folks start out any way they want to. I’ll get back to each of you to refine the starting conditions, the why’s and wherefores of being in Bridalveil, and suggest some possible changes to your characters to make it easier to hook them into a larger plot and put you into some sort of contact with your fellow PCs. Folks should have some connection with Bridalveil, either as a citizen, guardsmen, or something like that. The campaign will revolve around “saving” the town from some outside force (not sure what that may be yet but I have some ideas). I don’t want to force any parties or plots (I HATE scripted plots anyway), but I also don’t want to do a lot of work and have players ignore it because it’s IC to do so. That means making characters that will be pulled into the plots not ones that you have to force into them.
2) I’m shifting gears some and players have to understand that there’s going to be one big plot not many smaller ones like I had originally planned. I think I can pretty much pull off a “living” town as a decent backdrop and a single major story arc, aside for that, the first time through’s gonna be pretty straightforward. I guess we’re all on a bit of a learning curve.
3) All PC sheets (along with an appropriate backup character) need to be in to me by October 1st.
