Resurrection-type spells

Raise Dead (need to be a least a 9th level druid to cast this spell)
Can restore life to one creature who has been dead no more than one day. Subject looses one point of constitution when raised. Characters turned into undead or killed by death effect spells cannot be raised. Subject looses one level when raised. If subject is 1st level then he/she looses an additional point of constitution instead. Material component: diamond worth at least 500 gold. Casting time: one minute.

Resurrection (need to be a least a 13th level cleric to cast this spell)
As raise dead, but restores complete life and strength back to dead character. Condition of remains is not a factor so long as there is a small portion of the body left relatively in tact. Subject cannot be raised if he/she has been dead for more than 10 years. Subject is restored to complete health but looses one level or one point of con. if first level. Material component: holy water and a diamond worth at least 500 gold. Casting time: 10 mins.

True Resurrection (need to be a least a 17th level druid to cast this spell)
As raise dead, but cleric can restore a create dead 10 years per caster level. Can bring back creatures who's body has been completely destroyed. Target completely restored to health with no loss of level or constitution. Material component: holy water, diamond worth at least 5000 gold. Casting time: 10 mins.

Reincarnate (need to be a least a 7th level druid to cast this spell)
Brings back target dead creature into a new body. Subject cannot be dead more than one week. Subject retains most of his/her former abilities and levels as well as Int., Wis., and Chr. Hp and other prime stats are unchanged. Str., Dex., and Con, will vary with the new form. Casting time: 10 mins.

Friday, October 15, 1999 Spell Components - Silverdawn (15:52) Trent Oster (Producer) made the following comment about the use of spell components by mages in Neverwinter Nights.
"Our plan is to do as BG has and ignore spell components. When I played PnP, we tried to use components and found it took way too much time for a magic user character to worry about the components. I personally believe you should never be totally useless as a character in the world, which is what happens to a mage with no components. If components are ignored, a mage only has to wait and rest to become powerful again. With components, the mage must return to the nearest town and stock up, breaking up the party or forcing a delay in adventuring. We feel keeping the party together is very important and anything we can do to avoid splitting up the party we will do."

I don’t know how they'll implement casting times.
