• When he had been informed that he was being transferred for a new job and a new partner, he had been shocked - and not so pleased - to learn it was to back here and up with her. A hand ran over his recently buzzed head - his hair style was ever-changing - as he dragged his flip-flop clad feet down the path towards the lodge. Head bowed, gaze on the ground, and a cigarette between his free fingers, he appeared lost completely in his own world - yet he was definitely alert and aware of most of his surroundings. Faded denims hung from his hips - the cuffs frayed and a hole at the knee stylishly - and just a white 'beater fit to his torso... It was too hot for much else. • She felt the same way and she was clad casually in a sarong style tan skirt and a white bikini style top - her dark hair, for once, out of its ponytail and down her back. She wasn't much of a girly girl - though she could be if she wanted - and never really had been, much to the dismay of her mother who just wanted one girl who she could have dressed up in dresses and pigtails. She swung herself up onto the railing - bright eyes focused on the book in her lap, one leg tucked beneath the other that was swinging over the railing. She repeated again, her brillant green eyes going back up to meet his."What do they want us to do? Play friends?" She had thought all the anger and distrust she had of this man would have faded away with time but she was obviously wrong.
