Subject: A blessing in disguise?
In reply to: Alfred 's message, "AT40 Flashback ending it's run this December" on 18:45:41 11/04/02 Mon

With Casey running 4 shows on radio today (does any other radio, talk show or sports host run this many on a weekly basis?), it looks like the least of the 4, "AT40 Flashback" is getting the axe.

This may be a blessing in disguise, though, that the show never caught on because if it had, I'm sure the current AT40 would have gone before either of the more popular top 20 countdowns. Rumor has it that AT40 airs on only 75 radio stations worldwide (I think that that's low, but that came off this board a couple of months back), and with Premiere already owning the rights to Rick Dees' show, we should be thankful that the best of the remaining 3 shows (at least IMHO) AT40 will get to stay.

So, I guess it was good that the producers cut airing the 1980 and '81 shows and ticked a lot of people off. Airing the same shows over and over from the same years started to wear on people.

Oh well. Wouldn't be surprised to see it come back in the future.

NEVER SAY DIE!!!!!!
