Subject: Casey Kasem and Rick Dees Shows

First off, I read an earlier thread talking about the AC version of Weekly Top 40 All Request special, and I do not get the Ac version but the CHR version wasn't much better. "Die Another Day" wound up "#1" and he was asking people to call or request online right now which didn't make sense to me since the show was probably taped a week or two before. Also, exactly what is the chart methodology for this show? What request could be taken for a show no one knew was going to happen?

Next, this has bothered me for years. I remember back in like 1995 and 96 especially, Casey's show "Casey's Top 40" and Dees show counted down the same chart, yet many times they would have the same order from say 40-6, and then a different top 5. Did the Dees staff or himself change up the top 5 so it would be different than Casey's? I ask if Rick did this because I can't imagine Casey or his staff writers doing anything to make us question the integrity of what they are counting down for no other reason than another show counts down the same chart(I say "for no other reason" because I know in the 70's there was the occasion they didnt get the billboard chart and had to guess.
