>Thanks Guys,

The thing that's bugged me about this guy is, that I've collected the HOT 100, and music since 1977, I've helped Joel Whitburn on some research projects, (with my name mentioned in the credits along with Rob I might add), Have helped Rob when he was AT 40, on projects and such, I've known Rob since 1989, he knows what I collect and have etc., and then everytime I post some info (like the Righteous Bros info for example), I'm picked apart, challenged, told that things don't exist (that I own), and basically talked to, and debated with, like I'm a dummy that doesn't anything I'm talking about. I didn't say I was perfect, but when I post info I don't post lies, (the VH1 one hit wonders board is what I'm talking about by the way). All of this is from a guy who says he's downloaded every top 40 song from BILLBOARD, from the Fifties through now, in the past couple years or less. I'm sorry but when people like us have been doing this research for years, and have been through the wars, seen the changing times, have followed songs up and down the charts, and have collected the actual peice, I don't see where we could be at the point where we don't know what we're talking about. It's like a guy who's read about the Viet Nam war in a book, and then telling the Viet Nam Vet what the war was like, and challenge him on every expeirence he's had.

Where I can see where people burn CD's, like AT 40's, things out of print, etc. I think downloading EVERYTHING in your collection, just to avoid buying something etc. isn't right, and that way of thinking is why the economy is bad, record stores business is declining and closing etc. Don't get me wrong Record companies have a lot to blame on themselves, like there stupid policy on not wanting to release singles (hardly ever that is), having songs in the top ten you can't buy yet (because the CD doesn't come out for two months), mixes of singles you hear on the radio are different than on the LP etc., that I can see why people download, but when it's just being cheap and a rebel, I don't know that's too much.

Takes????

and THANKS!!

I couldn't say it any better, Andrew. While Rob and I
