That's why I wonder why Dick Clark does montages before unveiling the number one song of the year nowadays. I mean there are, what, seven number one songs on the A/C chart at the most each year?
An interesting montage that WNDV used to do before the number one songs was a medley of songs that did not make the year end chart but still made their playlist. That would be neat if AT40 or other countdowns also did this.
