I have my little piece of AT40 memorabilia. It’s a copy of the “Weekly Stat List” for the program of December 23, 1989. It seems that the AT40 staff used this list to compile statistical information about the songs and the artists; then they’d include this information in the show’s scripts. My list presents the songs in that week’s countdown, featuring columns for total weeks in the Hot 100, total weeks in the Top 40, current week’s position, previous week’s position and the songs’ chart movements for the week.

It also has a 2-digit number that indicates how the artists of groups are integrated (“03” means “a 3-woman group”, while “50” represents “a 5-man group”); the act's chart statistics at the time, and the place the artists were born and/or where they were living.

Nelson.
