Subject: Why I love AT40 shows recorded from "off the air"

Listening to the AT40 show from 7 Oct 1972 that was recorded from a Chicago station. After song #39 the show goes to commercial. Station plays many promos on how cool the station is and how they give away prizes. Seemlessly goes back to AT40 in which Casey promtly plays the wonderfully retro-county single "If You Leave Me Tonight, I'll Cry" by Jerry Wallace.
I think any 70s music and radio fans out there will agree the great variety radio and the charts were back in those days. A country hit could be at #38 followed by an R&B song at #37 and a rock song at #36 and you knew the radio station was actually playing all three of those records on their playlists.
