yeah...well, come on, consider it IS casey it's written for, ya gotta give him some slack....you cannot even come close to casey....you can parody him (which I do have to work on, because I could be better at it!) but ANYONE who steps into the AT40 air chair other then casey doesn't deserve to be really compared to him.

no he didn't....in the later years YES....mark elliott did a few in 1989 and 90.

again, charlie has his own style, inflection and delivery, which is very strong. he's one of my favorites for a liner guy for a radio station (though I hate to see his rates!) other programs he's hosted sound good (from legendary performers to counting down the top 100 hits of 1980 with opus 80) so he's definitely qualified. he was no worse doing AT40 then filling in to do the last few weeks of Soundtrack Of the 60's for gary owens (in may and june of 1984!) gary assumingly left early when abc watermark yanked the series out of production (read rob's book for the reason why!) and gary went to do "gary owen's supertracks" with Darwin Lamm's Creative radio shows. Gary has a unique style for which I will always be a fan as well as casey! and you cannot expect anyone else to come close.

As for mark elliott, he co-hosted Dick Clark RRR in the early days...with clark, sounded good doing that....but he's really hit his niche in the last 6 years, signing a exclusive contract to be THE VOICE for Disney!!! he warm fussy and upbeat family style delivery he can do is just perfect for disney.

so, as far as i'm concerned, they ALL are good......
