 ..quiet old vix had observed the young flicka from afar, her young one sleeping in the grass at her feet. She knew better than to interrupt during the birthing, though had she arrived before she may have been welcome, the filly woke with a small cry for food, and pushed herself up on wobbly stilts, only a few days old she was working on getting the balance of things. The mare, of about 10 summers herself allowed the foal to nurse, she'd had four foals, so this was of no concern for her. Once the filla had her fill she nudged the little one and walked quietly to Nightshade, casious for she didn't know how the new mother would react, she was resting beside her colt, it was good for them to bond. Lady wuffled softly..

"You done well young one...seems you've born a fine colt..." the small cream hued filly stood by her mother, auds perked curiously at the sight of the long legged colt, and the strange things that adorned his feet, feathers..looking at her own, she saw none and looked up at her dam as if asking why...the mare gave a soft laugh at her little one and nudged her ever so softly..
