 If the series had been about Tyr, we would have seen his life prior to his arriving on the Andromeda Ascendant. If it had been about Beka or Harper or Rev Bem, we would have seen THEIR lives before encountering the AA. However, the show is about how a man thrown out of his time into a ghastly and unexpected future copes with that.

Mr. Cobb did not understand this and many of Mr. Cobb's fans are a bit hazy on this BUT the show was written around the character of Dylan Hunt. Not Tyr. Not Beka. Not Harper. Not Trance. Not Rev Bem. They are all part of a strong supporting cast (although some are leaving and some are returning) but the story is still Dylan's.
