I have to agree that I have been uncomfortable posting of late. I'm not sure if it began back when I first had my account locked at SS or not.

I remember those early days, when we could post as Drones before even registering [summer 2000] and how excited and optimistic we all were. Gods, how we raved and loved Andromeda and then the fighting began. At first it was fun fights, the factions... then it just shattered and was never able to recover. It's just so sad. So many people I've met through that board in the beginning have disappeared, Amp, Ellie, Valoria, even you Susie.

I felt like a piece of me was ripped out each time a friend left and my heart couldn't take it. I hated seeing people I admired turn their backs on Andromeda, especially those who were so adamant about their faithfulness *sigh*

It's over and no going back, can we ever feel safe and secure again? Here I hope to regain some of that but we'll always just be a small group. Which isn't such a bad thing...

Maybe we were just too close to it all, the cast, the crew, the writers. I don't know anymore, but I do know that not dealing harshly with trolls from day one was what hurt SS. We used to completely ignore them at Studios USA Herc forum and we prevailed, unlike the well known fiasco of the Xena forum [otherwise known as the Nutforum]

I guess I'd hoped that Herc fans, Sci Fi fans and newcomers could live together in a peaceful fandom. Now I wonder.

Mai
