It's just an echo you've heard before
And again again again
Teapots echo, you know,
And Alice can't escape Wonderland,
But she's mostly at the tea party,
Where the riddles mean nothing,
Mercury brings madness
And time is an absent friend.

Elsewhere, the Red Queen's shrill voice echoes over a lovely garden
'You fucked up again, Alice,
Now touch a thorn and paint 'em red.
Or better yet, off with your head,
What good is it anyway?'

Duchess Fate hands Alice another baby to care for
Who's turned into another pig,
But there is a moral;
She can't save everyone
Because she can't save anyone.

She's just a little girl
She'll never grow here,
Forever arrested in Wonderland
(But mostly at the tea party).

Alice wanted to be inspiring,
Alice wanted to be inspired
(She inspired herself and got both)

Alice wanted to be a little girl again
(She is and has never been anything else)




So pour me another half cup of tea, Mr. Hare.
