Subject: They say . . .(ode to an attempted robbery)

they say spring is thursday-
but the snows came
and now I'm not so sure.
It's been a strange march-
apologies and dealing-
dealing with something of a new kind
and its consequences-
wondering if I'm really
made of iron and thorns
knowing secretly-
the wind could blow me away.
I seem to have become string.
I seem to have become loud.
I'm ready to kill for a five dollar bill-
or maybe what it represents-
I hope I'm not that cheap.

Eh,
I'll pull out his eyelashes on
thursday.
