People die day after day, but sometimes those people have a face... sometimes they are people you have seen a million times before, said hello to, laughed with... and knew far to little of. I'm sorry Jack...




snowfall for Jack

I woke up this morning to snowfall
peaceful and white and cold.
The hot water in the shower,
mingled with a lacking of the wholesome,
nothing nourishing
and so much loss of blood...
I collapsed in the shower,
laying alone, wet and naked on floor.
In that pain, I said I wanted to die,
such sadness hovering just beside me all day.
Now I find the cold white snow
has brought peace to pain;

Today the snow fell for Jack.
