soft kisses seem to mingle well with tears
almost as if they were to say goodbye
to the questions arisen, not spoken.

it is these days
time puts on a different dress
and dances in circles around you.

The sun is warm through the glass
but the air has a chill-
a foreshadowing
of what lies ahead.

light, sleepy breath-
"I love you so much."
tears.
"I love you, too."
Kisses.
Tears.
Sunlight.
A cold wind through the weatherstrip.

"I'm sorry."
The sun goes down to a night without stars.
