apart from the forest
high up on a hill
there alone stands a beautiful tree

entered now into autumn
the vermillion vibrance of leaves
creates an unmatched majesty

time progresses; leaves fall
piecemeal the wonder is stripped
and slowly away the facade is blown

ugly branches claw the sky
