The Fiercest Calm

I return to the safety of a world once known
where I would come on a lonely night
Your fingers would reach for my tears as they fell
and your arms would embrace me tight

It's been a long time since i've come to these walls
there's still a few people that stuck around
A lot of new faces, many people to meet,
experiencing the same feeling i once found

I don't know how long I'll stay this time
but i just wanted to drop in and let you know
In the darkest times of my life you were there
your caring and love would always show

The friends that I found amongst your world
The shoulder you would unselfishly lend
In times when things felt really quite bad
You helped a broken soul to mend.

It's been awhile since i've come here, apologies for the soppiness of the poem but I felt like saying a little of what this place used to mean to me, how much you all helped me get through a bad time in my life, when I came quite regularly.
