Subject: All the Beautiful Worrying

Reptiles of a lost and dying experience that has left us breathless.
Cold blooded heartstrings that play like icicles being pinged with hammers.
I am an animal who understands the loss I feel.
I understand the waste of time and the regret of passing sand through my hourglass.
I reckon with my heart and mind and tell them both to be patient.
I tell them both that I will repay them for the hurt I've sent their way.
I believe that I can be better than I am and that makes me better than I was.
I am a silly stranger to the world of seriuos thought although I once knew my way.
I am running as fast as I can from true beliefs and retreating
To living room forts of blankets and chairs on sleepy saturday afternoons.
I race with my thoughts to the edges of where I used to jump off and I laugh out loud.
I AM NOWHERE, YET I AM EVERYWHERE!
I am nothing like the people you see each day, I am worn down into human.
