Stroking a fine brush
Meeting a canvas
That is waiting to be created
Patiently waiting for the painter
To bring it to life
She paints a man
Sitting on a park bench
Sax in hand with his case open
Hoping someone will give him the wealth for dinner
Night has approaced
And he's tired
He stares into his empty case
And puts the only thing he knows in it
He feels hungry and hopeless
Until he walks on
And under a tree
He sees two children
And they are dancing
And singing to his tune
Then he remembers why he loves music so much
And the painter rinses her brush
