Seemed to real
when you didn't come to rehearsal tonight
everyone cried, my love
for you, we all cried
our characters were crushed
but even worse
us, we were hurt
no one could dance tonight, my love
your absence of presence left us all at loss for tapping
empty lines and broken parts
the most dreadful words were spoken
tonight, in this night, of july
what would would have been a beautiful night
sunny, warm, and bright
drowned out by so many tears
for the fact you couldn't be hear
dancing, singing, loving...
tonight
