The warmblood's eyes drifted to the treeline. The eldest stallion of the herd had been around for many years and many battles he had fought to protect his honor, his family, and his home. He knew when something was amis. His eyes searched through the darkened brush which had streams of fading sunlight slicing through their thick eves. Finally, a shimmer caught his attention from under a large bramble and he stood, relaxed but alert. An eye, he knew. His eyes locked on the eye as he slowly picked out the outline of the loner who watched his herd. He looked at Firefly and to Glory, not saying a word. He turned and began to walk off. He stopped about fifteen yards off, grazing, his eyes still locked on the figure.
