A 7am start from Crosshands - my mate Keith saying I was insane for predicting a win - both of us confident of getting rid of 2 spares (yes- I know it sounds unbelievable)
Being photographed by japanese tourists outside the posh hotel on sunday morning in silly hat guise - ecstasy at finding a western mail in a local newsagents - Keith still believing I had lost the plot with seemingly seconds to go - the loudest sound I have ever heard as my faith was proven by Gibbs and Jenks - turning to the England fan next to me and without the slightest trace of irony say "it's only a game" The most incredible journey home ever
Dublin '00 Masses of us mostly hungover from the previous day - crammed into a pub in temple bar - a handful of england supporters turned up for the walkover at murrayfield - Green and red ecstasy in unison and a night almost to equal the previous one - followed by the epic journey home -dublin to rosslare to dublin to holyhead (failed to dock ) to fishguard - a Tuesday to tuasday trip that we will never forget!!!!!!!!
